Dr. Joe Stowell, Bible teacher on Proclaim!, became the seventh president of Chicago's Moody Bible Institute in 1987. He is a graduate of Cedarville College and Dallas Theological Seminary, and he was honored with a doctor of divinity degree from The Master's College (California) in 1987.
Dr. Stowell is a third-generation minister, having pastored churches in Ohio, Indiana, and Michigan. A gifted author, teacher, and speaker, Dr. Stowell is active in conference speaking and seminar work across the United States and around the world. He and his wife Martie have three married children and they have seven grandchildren.
