The two links below will open images of the K A A Y coverage maps for
both day and night. It is a characteristic of AM Radio that after sundown
the ionosphere is able to bounce the signal back to earth, significantly
increasing a station's coverage area. K A A Y has a directional pattern
at night which is designed to protect stations on the same or adjacent
AM frequencies. We've tried to make these pictures fairly small to decrease download time without loosing too much resolution in the maps. NOTE: Atmospheric conditions make a big difference in AM reception, particularly at night. These maps illustrate K A A Y's signal strength under normal conditions, but at any given time the signal in a particular location may be stronger or weaker than indicated by these maps.
